Laura Marcario - Get Wired - Jewelry Making

January 12 & 13, 2010

Laura was introduced to the art of silver and copper-smithing at the Fletcher
School of the Arts in Vermont.  She is currently studying with silversmith
Laura Guptill and exhibits at shows in Florida and New Hampshire.

Whatever your style, from dainty to seriously crazy, wire is the way to go!
With just a few simple tools and a spool of wire, you'll learn the basics of
making your own eyepins, earwires and clasps, and learn the secrets of wire
wrapping coils and swirls.  Then we'll put all those handcrafted findings (and
your imagination) to use!  Please note that we will not be casting, forging or
soldering in this basic wire working class.  There will be a $15.00 materials
fee due to the instructor.  Please feel free to bring any beads you might have
and want to incorporate into your finished piece.

Supply list:  wire cutter, needle nose pliers and flat nose pliers.
