Debbie is an award winning artist who has worked in many different
mediums. Her love of color lead her to the beauty of dyes on silk. She
studied with Lois Rector in Florida and the Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts
in Tennessee. She has created wall hangings, unique clothing and home
accessories with her silk paintings.
This class will cover how to prepare and stretch the silk, create a design on
the silk, apply resist and then the dyes. You will be able to experiment with a
variety of resists and silks. I will help you choose a design for the scarf we
will make in class. There will be a $25.00 materials fee due the instructor to
cover the cost of the dyes, resist and 1 scarf.
